President, Applied Science and Quality Systems
A chemist, metrologist and a Quality Management consultant with over thirty five years experience in Standardisation and Quality Management, a vast majority of which is spent in the areas of Metrology, Standards, Testing and Quality Assurance (MSTQ).
I have a PhD in Chemistry from the University of London, King's College (1986) and a Certificate in Metrology and Quality Management from the Butler County College, Butler PA. (USA) 1997.
I worked with the Ghana Standards Board from June 1975 - October 1976 first as a technician, then from April 1987 - December, 2010 as a Scientific Officer and rose to the position of Deputy Executive Director in May 2010. Other offices held include Director of Physical Science Division (2003-2007), Head of Research and Development Laboratory (1991-1993), Head of Scientific Metrology Department (1999-2003), Coordinator Lab QA/QC.(2007- 2008) and Head of Certification Department (2008-2010).
I was instrumental in the setting up of the Research and Development Laboratory (1991-1993)) and the Metrology Laboratories (1999-2003) at the Ghana Standards Board.
I have a passion for Quality and Training and have trained over 600 staff and students in Science, Technology, Metrology and Quality Management (including ISO 9000, ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17025 QMS)
I am an IRCA certified lead quality assessor and a member of the GSB consulting team on Quality Management Systems.
I have participated in a number of conferences/seminars both international and national in Science, Metrology and Quality Management. I have worked as a contract person with companies in the United Kingdom and the United States.
I am the founder and current President of Applied Science and Quality Systems (ASQS) (www.asqsghana.com), a consortium of Quality Management Consultants anda subsidiary Education centre of the Chartered Quality Institute (UK).
